After Maria Francisca Perello sparked pregnancy rumors for seemingly sporting a baby bump while enjoying a yacht excursion, the Spain's tennis icon was reported to be expecting his first child with his partner of 17 years.
Confirming Rafael and Maria's baby news was Spanish publication ¡HOLA!. It came months after Maria was first rumored to be carrying a bun in the over when she watched Rafael's French Open final match in May wearing a loose fitting clothing.
The couple remained mum on the swirling speculations at the time, but in early June, Maria once again got caught in another pregnancy rumor. When traveling across the northern coast of Majorca for a holiday, she was seen sporting what seemed to be a baby bump under her swimsuit as she enjoyed an excursion with her husband on his massive yacht.
Rafael and Maria have been enjoying some downtime after he secured his 14th French Open title which happened to be his 22nd Grand Slam. The pair spent relaxing time together with their family and friends aboard his luxurious yacht named Great White. Custom-built two years ago, his fabulous motor catamaran boasts almost 24 meters in length and is completed with bedroom, dining room and lounge.
Rafael and Maria tied the knot back in October 2019 after dating for 14 years. Their wedding was held in a British-owned fortress located in Majorca. The winner of 22nd Grand Slam once stated that he wanted to form his own family because he loves children and he would like them to do what they want in life.
"Obviously, I intend and want to form a family," the 36-year-old tennis ace told ¡HOLA! back in 2018. "I love children and I would like them to do what they want in life," he added.
