After returning to his social media account ahead of his album release, the 'Goosebumps' rapper receives mixed reactions from critics, with many believing that his return is 'too soon.'

AceShowbiz - Travis Scott (II) is seemingly ready to move on from his rather past. Following his deadly Astroworld Festival, the "SICKO MODE" rapper has made his return to Instagram ahead of his upcoming album's release.
On Friday, December 31, the 30-year-old rapper returned to posting on his Instagram page after nearly a two-month absence. The photo he posted of his side profile garnered overwhelming support from his music industry peers.
Travis, who changed his Instagram bio into "UTOPIA", apparently was encouraged to post more on his page following the outpouring support. On Saturday, January 1, the "Goosebumps" spitter uploaded a black-and-white photo of him in front of tropical trees. His post was welcomed with positive messages as well in the comment section.
"Happy New Year Travis [red heart emoji]," wrote famed fashion designer Marc Jacobs. A fan commented, "Travis Scott maaaaan," adding a face with sunglasses emoji. In the meantime, a separate fan urged him to release his upcoming album "Utopia", saying, "DROP UTOPIA ASAP TRAV [heart emoji]."
Though so, other social media users believed that his return was "too soon." One person penned, "He said: what festival? It's a new year." Another critic chimed in, "Too soon. You still got some explaining to do." A third added, "Those lives are in your hands everyone gets there's on judgment day." A fourth wrote, "So we are acting like nothing happened anymore?"
Prior to his social media return, Travis has drawn criticism over his perceived lack of responsibility for what happened at his festival in his first interview with Charlamagne Tha God. During the sit-down, he claimed he was unaware of the severity of the situation until minutes before the press conference.
When asked why the concert continued after officials declared it's a mass casualty event, Travis, who asked the court to dismiss the lawsuits against him "with prejudice," insisted he did stop the event after being told to. "They told me, 'Right after the guests get on stage, we're going to end the show.' And that's what we did," he stressed. "Other than that, there was no communication."
In the conversation, Travis also denied allegations that he ignored fans' pleas for help, insisting he did not hear anyone yelling for help. "Any time you can hear something like that, you want to stop the show," he said. "I stopped it a couple times to make sure everything's OK. You can only help what you can see and whatever you're told. Whenever somebody tells you to stop, you stop."
