The 'Pride and Prejudice' actress reveals in a new interview that she almost had a major wardrobe malfunction when she was about to attend the British Independent Film Awards in 2005.

AceShowbiz - Keira Knightley has apparently come close to having a fashion mishap during a big event. In a new interview, the "Pride and Prejudice" actress revealed that her dress split in half before hitting a red carpet of the British Independent Film Awards.
The 36-year-old walked down memory lane when sitting down with PEOPLE. "I had an amazing one, years ago," she said when asked about her last wardrobe malfunction. "I was wearing a Herve Leger dress, one of those bandage-y dresses."
"I went to step out of the door and it split from the bottom to the top - my entire body was out," the English beauty further recalled. "It was just full-on naked body... So it was a real moment of going, 'I think that dress was a bit too small.' "
Luckily, Keira managed to deal with it. She shared, "Fortunately, two of these dresses had been delivered. It was at a point where I was being followed around by many paparazzi. Luckily, I was in my flat, I was not out the front door, so nobody got a picture of the fact that this dress had split."
"Thank God it [didn't] happen on the red carpet because it could have happened at any point that evening," the Oscar nominee, who later attended the 2005 awards show in a high-neck white bandaged mini dress, continued elaborating. "I was incredibly fortunate that it happened when it did."
The interview came a few weeks after Keira revealed that she and her family tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated. "I've got COVID and I'm feeling pretty rubbish," she told Stella Magazine in November.
The "Silent Night" star then explained that her daughters Edie and Delilah were recovering quicker than she is, while her husband James Righton is asymptomatic. "[He is] being very smug about it -- he is convinced it's because he's one of those cold-water swimmers and I'm not," she said.
