AceShowbiz - Katie Holmes might still have some love for Emilio Vitolo despite their split. Ahead of his short film premiere, the "The Secret: Dare to Dream" actress took to social media to congratulate her "very talented and amazing" ex-boyfriend.
The 42-year-old sent her message via Instagram on Tuesday evening, June 8. She first raved, " 'ALMOST A YEAR' @tribecafilmfestival. I am so excited for the start of the @tribecafilmfestival today!!!!! I am so honored to have been a part of the making of 'ALMOST A YEAR' which is premiering at #Tribeca2021 as part of #TribecaAtHome tickets and more details on the @Tribeca [website.]"
Katie, who served as a producer for the movie, went on to add, "Congratulations to the very talented and amazing cast @eveclindley @emiliovitolo @lilmitz_ and director @jamiesonbaker." Her post has since caught the attention of Emilio, who then sent out several heart-eyed emojis in the comment section.
Katie confirmed her breakup with Emilio on May 13, just around eight months of dating. Her representative told Us Weekly, "The pair have parted ways amicably but remain friends." While the representative did not provide further details, a source explained, "They figured out they're better off as friends. There's no drama that went down with the breakup and in fact, they're still friends."
"Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together - it just simply didn't work out," the source further claimed, revealing that they split around two weeks prior. "She's focusing on being a mom and her upcoming projects."
Following the split, Emilio reportedly rejoined Raya, an exclusive dating app for celebrities. "He's not wasting any time looking for someone new to date," a source told Us Weekly, while another insider spilled to Page Six, "It's not just Raya. He's on a bunch of other dating apps too... He didn't exactly hide the fact that he's broken up from Katie."
Before dating Katie, Emilio was engaged to Rachel Emmons. As for the "Dawson's Creek" alum, she was previously married to Tom Cruise, with whom she shares 15-year-old Suri. She also dated Jamie Foxx for several years before calling it quits in 2019.
