Executive producer Jon Favreau shares a photo of him and George Lucas, who makes a surprise visit to the set for the former's birthday.

AceShowbiz - Production on "The Mandalorian" is currently underway and nothing much is known about the first live-action "Star Wars" series hailing from Jon Favreau. However, thanks to a new photo posted by Favreau, fans seemingly have the first look at one of the Cantinas of the show.

"The Jungle Book" director shared a photo of him and George Lucas, who made a surprise visit to the set for the former's birthday. It seems like Lucas didn't come empty handed as he gave the "Iron Man" star a bottle of 2014 Skywalker Pinot Noir from Skywalker Vineyards.

What's more interesting from the snap was the fact that Lucas and the show's executive producer posed with what seems like one of the show's cantinas in the background. "Birthday surprise," Favreau captioned the photo.

To be directed by Dave Filoni ("Star Wars: The Clone Wars"), Taika Waititi ("Thor: Ragnarok"), Bryce Dallas Howard ("Marvel's Jessica Jones") , Deborah Chow ("Solemates") and Rick Famuyiwa ("Dope"), "The Mandalorian" is set to debut in late 2019 on Disney's yet-to-be-named streaming service.

The official synopsis of the new series reads, "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. 'The Mandalorian' is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

Favreau will executive produce "The Mandalorian" alongside Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, while Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer. The series has yet to announce the casting, but rumor has it, "Game of Thrones" alum Pedro Pascal has been eyed to play the lead role.
