Melissa Glenn has been tapped to pen the script as well as serve as executive producer.

AceShowbiz - NBC is reportedly planning to revive one of its dramas. The peacock network is reportedly working on a spin-off of supernatural drama "Grimm", which ended last year after six seasons.

The planned series, however, will feature a twist. According to Deadline, the spin-off will center on a female Grimm. The site continues, "Building off the mythology of the original series, the new show will feature returning fan favorites while also introducing new characters, new dangers and epic new mysteries."

The new project has yet to find actors, though it's planned to bring back some cast members, regular or recurring.

Melissa Glenn, whose credit includes recently-canceled "Marvel's Iron Fist", has been tapped to pen the script. In addition to writing, Glenn will serve as executive producer alongside Hazy Mills' Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. Meanwhile, "Grimm" co-creators/showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf will serve as consulting producers.

The original series centered on Portland Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who discovered he is a Grimm, the latest in a line of guardians who are sworn to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures. Joining Giuntoli, the series also starred Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee.

Prior to airing on NBC, "Grimm" was originally developed for CBS, but plans were canceled due to the writers' strike. Later in January 2011, NBC opted for the series which was described as "a cop drama—with a twist ... a dark and fantastical project about a world in which characters inspired by Grimms' Fairy Tales exist."

"Grimm" initially gained mixed reviews from critics. However, it got a better reception throughout the series' run.
