However, the brunette star reveals that she 'would do anything to be in a room' with her co-stars from the beloved series.

AceShowbiz - Courteney Cox doesn't see a "Friends" reboot happening, even though she would be up for a reunion with her castmates.

The 54-year-old actress played Monica Geller in the hit U.S. TV show from 1994 to 2004, with the programme going on to become one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. While fans are desperate to see Courteney reunite with her co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry for a remake, the brunette star told People she doesn't think it's much of a possibility.

"People ask us all the time, 'Will we ever do a remake?' That was a story about these group of people that are friends in their 30s who are finding themselves. I don't know if there's a way to redo it," Courteney mused.

"I just don't see it happening. Even though I would do anything to be in a room with all of those people acting and having a great time. But I don't see it happening."

Courteney's remarks come after her close friend Jennifer gave an interview earlier this year in which she said she "fantasises" about reuniting with her co-stars for a reboot.

"Courteney and Lisa and I talk about it," she said. "I fantasise about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don't know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted."

"I know Matt LeBlanc doesn't want to be asked that question anymore. But maybe we could talk him into it."

Matt, who played much-loved character Joey Tribbiani on the show, has made no secret of his disdain towards the idea of a remake. During a chat with Britain's Femail magazine earlier this year, the actor insisted the premise of the show wouldn't be the same now the castmembers are so much older.

"Normally I'd never say never (to reprising a role), but in the case of 'Friends' I would definitely say never," he said.
