Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are set to reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren for the 'Conjuring' spin-off threequel.

AceShowbiz - Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will bring "The Conjuring" characters to "Annabelle 3". The two actors, who have portrayed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in two "The Conjuring" movies, are set to reprise their roles for the next installment of the spin-off movie series.

Wilson and Farmiga will appear in a supporting capacity in the "Annabelle" threequel, according to Deadline which first reported the news. The upcoming movie "picks up with the the Warrens bringing the Annabelle doll to a place where she can no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. Annabelle awakens the room's evil which sets its sights on a new target: the Warrens' ten year old daughter Judy. The young girl, along with her teenage babysitter cousin and the cousin's friend, square off against the evil doll."

Gary Dauberman, who penned the first two "Annabelle" movies, writes and directs the third installment, marking his directorial debut. Mckenna Grace ("Captain Marvel", "Gifted") was recently cast as the Warrens' young daughter, Judy, with Madison Iseman tapped to portray one of Judy's teenage babysitters.

James Wan is producing via his Atomic Monster banner along with Peter Safran of The Safran Company. He has also teased about the upcoming movie, "[The Doll] basically activates all the other haunted artifacts in that room, so it's basically 'Night at the Museum', with Annabelle!"

Michael Clear and Michelle Morrissey will serve as executive producers. Production is scheduled to start later this week for a July 3, 2019 release.

Annabelle was first introduced in 2013's "The Conjuring" as one of the Warrens' early signature cases. The first "Annabelle" movie (2014) focuses on a married couple expecting a child, whose vintage doll, Annabelle, gets possessed by a vengeful spirit after a cult group breaks into their home and is murdered.

It was followed by 2017's "Annabelle: Creation", which was dubbed a prequel rather than a sequel. It centers on a dollmaker and his wife, whose daughter tragically died twelve years earlier, as they decide to open their home to a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage. The dollmaker's possessed creation Annabelle sets her sights on the children and turns their shelter into a storm of horror.
