Both the 'Kings' actress and her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, missed a court hearing related to their divorce, which had been finalized in 2016, because they were unaware of the date.

AceShowbiz - Halle Berry and her ex-husband Olivier Martinez are facing court sanctions after missing a hearing relating to their divorce.

The actors split in 2015 after just two years of marriage, and finalised the proceedings in 2016, but the former couple was apparently summoned to appear for a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, October 16.

According to The Blast, Halle and Olivier and their respective lawyers, Laura Wasser and Stephen Kolodny, were no-shows as they had no knowledge of the court date, but their absence could result in sanctions at the new hearing, which has been set for January (19).

However, sources claim the skipped appearance is all down to a clerical error, as the stars have long settled their differences, and are now happily co-parenting their son Maceo.

Halle even posted Instagram shots of Olivier attending their boy's fifth birthday party earlier this month.

The news emerges five months after the exes were also ordered to appear in court to settle a property agreement.

It's not clear if the two incidents are related.

Berry's marriage to Martinez was her third. She was also previously wed to singer Eric Benet, and baseball player David Justice.

The Oscar winner is also mum to 10-year-old daughter Nahla, from her romance with model Gabriel Aubry.
