Despite earning a relatively high score and being one of the frontrunners in the current season, one contestant is sent home.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" aired a new episode on Monday, October 15. As the night's theme was Trios Night, former "DWTS" contestants including Amy Purdy, Riker Lynch, Rashad Jennings, Lindsey Stirling, Melissa Rycroft, Joey Fatone and Nastia Liukin returned to the ballroom to join the current season 27 contestants as special guest dancers. Also among the guest dancers were Maddie Ziegler, Jordan Kimball and Scarlett Byrne.

First taking to the stage were Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke. Joined by guest dancer and all-star season Mirrorball Trophy winner Melissa Rycroft, the three danced a Cha Cha to "Wavey" by CliQ featuring Alika. "Three was terrific. A lovely mix of steps," gushed judge Len Goodman. Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli said that it was sexy. They got a 24 out of 30.

Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong followed it up with a Tango to "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" from "Rock of Ages" alongside season 18 runner-up Amy. Carrie Ann Inaba dubbed it "the most innovative choreography," adding that it was a "fantastic tango." They earned a 26.

John Schneider, Emma Slater and season 4 runner-up Joey teamed up for an Argentine Tango to "Torn" by Nathan Lanier. "It started out rough, and it was a little messy ... but you showed us a new side and I appreciated it," Carrie Ann said. John got a 21.

Joined by fellow "Harry Potter" star Scarlett, Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe did a Salsa to "Black Magic" by Little Mix. "A polished performance and a great routine," Len praised them, with Carrie Ann agreeing. They got a 24.

Next up were DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold who performed alongside fellow football player and season 24 winner Rashad. The threesome opted for a Paso Doble to "Fire" by Barns Courtney. Bruno said that he loved "all of that power and aggression," though he found it "very hard to concentrate." They got a 22.

Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber later danced a Charleston to "V.E.S.P.A." by Dimie Cat alongside fellow Olympian and season 20 star Nastia. Carrie Ann totally loved the performance, noting that Mary was getting "even better" than last week. Len dubbed it fun and snappy. The judges gave them a 26.

Milo Manheim and Witney Carson did a Salsa with season 20 runner-up Riker to "Adrenalina" by Wisin featuring Jennifer Lopez & Ricky Martin. Of the performance, Len said, "It was fast, it was clean, and it was in control." Meanwhile, Bruno said that it was such an "electrifying" performance. Milo got a near-perfect 29!

Joe "Grocery Store Joe" Amabile and Jenna Johnson were joined by fellow "Bachelor in Paradise" alum Jordan that night. They danced a Salsa to "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. Bruno said they messed up with the timing, while Carrie Ann said Jenna is the MVP for "working with that." They got a 15.

Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten performed next. They did a Tango alongside Maddie to "Move Your Body" by Sia Furler. Len said that the routine was enjoyable with Bruno saying there were brilliant moments. They got a 25.

The last performance was by Bobby Jones, Sharna Burgess and season 25 runner-up Lindsey. They opted for a Cha Cha to "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer. Len said, "I've got to say, you nailed the Hammer part, but the cha cha part was not so good ... You got to get a bit more finesse in your technique." They earned a 20.

Evanna & Keo and Tinashe & Brandon were later announced as the couples in jeopardy. Much to everyone's shock, Tinashe was sent home. The judges were also shocked with the results.
