The 'That's on Me' hitmaker was shot at over a dozen times while driving on the Sam Rayburn Tollway on Sunday, October 14.

AceShowbiz - Yella Beezy, who opened Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z's "On the Run II" stop in Dallas, was shot at over a dozen times on the Sam Rayburn Tollway on Sunday, October 14. According to police, he was driving when an unidentified vehicle pulled up alongside him and opened fire. Even though he was hit three times, Beezy was able to bring his car to a stop without getting into an accident.

Police found a wounded Beezy around 3:30 A.M. along the State Highway 121 Bypass, and he was transported to a local hospital. Initial reports of the shooting stated that he was expected to make a recovery, with a picture him in hospital making its way around the internet, confirming that he was in stable condition.

Beezy was released from the hospital on the next day.

Police hasn't determined whether there were multiple people in the vehicle from which the shots came nor a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made as of now.

Beezy has been gaining considerable attention thanks to his hit "That's on Me", which topped mainstream rap/R&B radio chart and is currently sitting at No. 88 on Billboard's Hot 100. The success of the song prompted him to get an invite from the Carters to open for their joint show in Dallas and Houston last month.

Talking about the favorable outcome of the song, he admitted in an interview with Rolling Stone that he knew it was going to be a success. Still, he was surprised when "everybody was jamming in. It grew in the streets, the strip clubs."

He went on recalling the times when he got a call from Jay-Z and Beyonce's team. "They told me, we don't have nothing for such-and-such date, we want you to perform at the Beyonce concert," he shared, revealing his response, "S**t, I'm with it."
