In addition, a new report suggests that the production team of the first live-action 'Star Wars' TV series is wetting the sand to make the ground appear wet during the filming.

AceShowbiz - "The Mandalorian" is currently in production, and a new set photo of the series has made its way out online. Coming via Making Star Wars, the new set photo of the first live-action "Star Wars" TV series features familiar foes which fans of the popular franchise are familiar with.

The new image saw two actors donning traditional stormtroopers costumes. However, since they didn't use their helmets, it remains to be seen whether they are regular or scout stroopers.

Although the photo doesn't give away plot of the series, it serves as a confirmation that the Imperial stormtroopers will make an appearance on the upcoming series.

In addition, the site reports that the production was mixing in some red sand into the mix recently. They were wetting the sand to make the ground appear wet during the filming that day. That was such an eyebrow-raising action since "Star Wars" is set in a volcanic world. The site assumes that fans may see rain hitting the hot ground or that "The Mandalorian" will see volcanic activity being ceased.

Written by Jon Favreau, "The Mandalorian" has tapped several directors to help "The Jungle Book" director bring the series to life. Among them was "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebel" director Dave Filoni, who has been rumored to be one for quite some time. He will direct the first episode of the 10-part series. Meanwhile, "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard ("Solemates"), Rick Famuyiwa ("Dope") and Deborah Chow ("Marvel's Jessica Jones") will direct additional episodes.

The official synopsis of the new series reads, "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. 'The Mandalorian' is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

Favreau will executive produce "The Mandalorian" alongside Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, while Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer. The series has yet to announce the casting, but rumor has it, "Game of Thrones" alum Pedro Pascal has been eyed to play the lead role.

"The Mandalorian" is set to stream on Disney's streaming service, which is set to launch in late 2019.
