'The manner of death was certified as a suicide,' reads an official report from Los Angeles County coroner's office in regards to the passing of the 'Austin Powers' star.

AceShowbiz - "Austin Powers" star Verne Troyer's death has been ruled a suicide.

The 49-year-old star died from alcohol intoxication in April, weeks after he was found unconscious in his North Hollywood home, and now coroners in Los Angeles have determined he took his own life.

"On April 22, an autopsy was performed on Troyer and a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation," an official report from the Los Angeles County coroner's office reads. "It was later determined Troyer died from sequelae of alcohol intoxication. The manner of death was certified as a suicide."

Verne struggled with alcohol abuse for years before his death and made no secret of his addiction, and publicly addressed his issues, while seeking help during multiple rehab stints.

According to the coroner's report, Troyer registered a blood alcohol count almost four times the legal limit at the time of his death. He suffered respiratory distress before being placed on a ventilator and later succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement sources tell The Blast Troyer called emergency services on April 2 and told dispatchers he wanted to die.
