In related news, it's revealed that the half-witch and half-mortal was initially planned to appear on 'Riverdale'.

AceShowbiz - Netflix has released the first official full trailer of "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina". The spooky video gives a glimpse of teenage witch Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) as she's put in tough position once she turns 16.

"In the town of Greendale, where it always feels like Halloween, there lived a girl who was half-witch and half-mortal, who on her 16th birthday would have to choose between two worlds; the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends," Sabrina says in voiceover as Neil Sedaka's "Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen" plays in the background. "And that girl is me."

The happy vibe then drastically changes into spooky one as Sabrina goes to attend the dark baptism led by High Priest of the Church of Night Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle). She undergoes the bloody ritual before she stops midway as she refuses to sign her name in Dark Lord Satan's book. "I can't do this!" she says before storming off.

It seems like her decision will put her in an actual hell. "My name is Sabrina Spellman," she declares while looking like a mess in her white lingerie she dons during the dark baptism. "And I will not sign it away!"

The trailer also sees Sabrian, alongside The Weird Sisters Agatha (Adeline Rudolph), Prudence (Tati Gabrielle) and Dorcas (Abigail Cowen), approaching a bunch of bullies. "I'm not an evil person, but these are desperate times," the heroine declares.

In related news, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa reveals that Sabrina almost appeared on "Riverdale", on which he serves as showrunner. "During season 1 of 'Riverdale' -- before 'Riverdale' exploded and found its footing as sort of a noir, crime, pulp show -- we had said, 'Maybe season 2 will be like [the comic] 'Afterlife With Archie'. We'll do a big genre switch and it will be horror, and it will be 'Afterlife' and Sabrina could come and be the antagonist,' " he shares to EW. "There was even a time when we talked about the season 1 cliffhanger being the arrival of Sabrina."

However, he didn't get through the plan because "as more crime show, that felt less and less like the right fit." He continues explaining, "It felt like if 'Riverdale' is crime and pulp and all that stuff, then Sabrina could be horror. It felt like there was a separation between Greendale and Riverdale -- magic should exist in Greendale, but not in Riverdale. That was the thought."

Based on the comic book of the same name, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" follows adventures of Sabrina Spellman as she navigates her way through life as a young witch. The series is depicted as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Exorcist", this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature--half-witch, half-mortal--while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is set to premiere on October 26 on Netflix.
