Lead actor Tom Hardy and his on-screen leading lady Michelle Williams are the center of attention at the premiere in L.A., which also attracts a bunch of celebrity guests.

AceShowbiz - "Venom (2018)" held its world premiere in Los Angeles before making its debut in theaters across the nation on October 5. Taking place at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California on Monday, October 1, the event was full of celebrity guests.

Tom Hardy, who plays Eddie Brock a.k.a. Venom, cut a neat look in a three-piece ensemble which consisted of a navy blue suit on top of a matching vest and a white shirt, teamed with a blue-and-red tie.

He posed on the black carpet with Michelle Williams, who plays Eddie's girlfriend Anne Weying in the film. The actress glammed up in a silver Louis Vuitton dress with a plunging neckline which featured intricate details.

Another cast member, Jenny Slate, opted for a laid-back style in a black Altuzarra dress with Jimmy Choo shoes. Sope Aluko, meanwhile, was cut an elegant style in a Kathy Anthony gown with a thigh-high slit and dramatic train, teamed with Via Spiga shoes, an Emm Kuo clutch and Swarovski jewels.

Riz Ahmed, Ron Cephas Jones and Reid Scott were among other actors supporting the premiere, with director Ruben Fleischer and Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the screenplay, also in attendance. Kellan Lutz, Mae Whitman and Gene Simmons were among celebrity guests spotted at the event.

Centering on the Spider-Man villain, "Venom" follows Eddie, who's investigating the mysterious Life Foundation. Its leader, Carlton Drake, has been testing the interaction of symbiotes on humans to create a higher being. When Eddie becomes infected with one of these alien creatures, he transforms into the anti-hero Venom.

Tom Hardy recently said his favorite scenes were cut from the final movie. "There are like 30 to 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren't in this movie... all of them. Mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes. You know what I mean?" he told ComicsExplained. "They just never made it in."
