The former host of 'The View' gushed that her relationship with Chelsea is now stronger than ever because they went through 'really public troubled times.'

AceShowbiz - Rosie O'Donnell and her adopted daughter Chelsea O'Donnell have forgiven each other after years of estrangement.
The TV star and comedian adopted baby Chelsea with her first wife, Kelli Carpenter, back in 1997.
In 2015, Rosie hit headlines when she appealed for help after her daughter was reported missing, just days after getting in touch with her biological mother who lived in Wisconsin.
Chelsea, then 17, was found a week later -- safe and sound with her then-boyfriend, Steve Sheerer, 28 -- and claimed she was kicked out of the former "The View" host's house.
The mother and daughter did not talk after the incident, and when the 20-year-old announced she was pregnant earlier this year, she said she was glad Rosie would not be a part of her baby's life.
However, the pair has reconnected, and Rosie opened up about their often turbulent relationship during an appearance on U.S. chat show "The Talk" on Friday, September 28.
Co-host Sheryl Underwood asked Rosie: "Did your relationship being tested ever make it stronger?"
"I think with my relationship with my daughter, Chelsea, it really has because we went through some really public troubled times," the 56-year-old replied. "She's doing better now and we're both communicating with each other."
Rosie, who was serving as a guest host on the show, added she and Chelsea were now stronger than ever.
"When somebody does something unforgivable to you and you can forgive them and they can forgive you, there's a kind of grace that descends upon the both of you, within that," she explained.
Back in June, Chelsea's pregnancy was confirmed by her boyfriend Jacob Bourassa, when he shared photos of their baby's sonogram on Facebook.
Earlier this month, he also revealed the couple was expecting a daughter.
