The singer takes to her Twitter account to debunk rumors which say that she recently went under the knife.

AceShowbiz - Kehlani has been spreading body postivity by showing off her healthier self on social media lately, but many have accused her of going under the knife. This prompts the singer to take to her Twitter account to debunk the rumors, explaining why she looks different than before.

Saying that she had never "gotten facial surgery" and didn't even plan on doing it, Kehlani tweeted on September 14, "I look 'different' because I'm HEALTHY. I'm well rested for once, not on the road. I removed all my piercings and pay a lot of attention to my skin care." She continued, "Stress levels down. That's it. Suck miiii w the accusations."

Kehlani recently revealed that she was taking a break from the industry to rest up and get healthy. Her decision was understable as she has been hard at work since releasing her free mixtape "Cloud 19" in 2014. Despite her success, she suffered from depression and went through a messy breakup from PartyNextDoor in 2016. During that time, she even attempted to take her own life, but fortunately survived.

The "Gangsta" singer opened up about her suicide attempt during an Oakland show in the same year. She said that the incident wasn't the first time she tried to take her own life and discouraged fans from attempting to do the same thing.

"[Depression] is something that so many young people are dealing with. And so many young people just slip under the rug," she said. "If you have a friend and they're scaring you a little, just love them. Hug them and love them up and tell them that it's good, okay? And from me to you, you are worth it, you are perfect, you need to be here every single day that you are meant to be here."
