AceShowbiz - Singer Carrie Underwood's televised New York street concert has been scrapped, so viewers can focus on the weather and Hurricane Florence.
The country star was scheduled to headline the Today Summer Concert Series on Friday morning, September 14, but TV bosses are dedicating the breakfast show to the storm, which is expected to lash North and South Carolina and Virginia on Thursday night and carry on through the weekend.
"Due to NBC News' ongoing coverage of Hurricane Florence, the concert with Carrie Underwood originally scheduled for tomorrow, September 14, on the TODAY plaza has been canceled," an official tweet reads.

Carrie, who was scheduled to promote the release of her new album "Cry Pretty" on "Today", isn't the only country star affected by the hurricane - Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson have both scrapped weekend shows in the Carolinas and Virginia.
