During the September 11, judge Howie Mandel even predicted who would win the current season 13 of the NBC show.

AceShowbiz - The finals of "America's Got Talent" season 13 is approaching as the second round of semifinals aired on Tuesday, September 11. The episode saw 11 acts performing before the judges, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B, vying for a spot in the upcoming finals.

Up first was Christina Wells, who performed a rendition of "Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin. The powerful performance unsurprisingly managed to awe the crowd and the judges, though she visibly struggled to hit the late singer's high notes. Howie and Simon agreed that it was not her best performance.

Da Republik followed it up with another energetic routine. Their performance was enhanced by lights, animatronics, and fog machine, but it seemed like the all the effects overshadowed their performance instead. Simon made it clear that he was not a fan of their performance by pressing his X buzzer.

Performing next was Noah Guthrie. He seemingly opted to play safe by singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston instead of performing an original song. Mel said that she didn't like the rendition and Simon echoed the remarks. However, Howie loved it.

Opera singer Daniel Emmet showed off his skills by singing West Side Story's "Somewhere". However, his performance seemingly didn't work well as Mel B told him that she was confused by the song choice, with Howie dubbing his performance "just musical theater." Heidi might be the only one judge that truly enjoyed Daniel's act.

Later, it was Angel City Chorale's turn to take the stage. The choir paid tribute to first responders from 911 by singing "The Rising" by Bruce Springsteen. Dressed in white shirts and holding flashlights, the group delivered a heartfelt performance. Judges loved it as Mel B praised them for their "beautiful" performance.

Magician Aaron Crow returned and he picked Howie as his victim for that night's act. He first showed a pair of Howie's red glasses. It turned out that Howie was inside one of boxes which were numbered 1-4. Aaron then made the other three judges to pick one box each and he would destroy the boxes that the judges had chosen. Heidi picked number 3, while Mel B picked the box number 1. Simon later picked box number 4. Fortunately, Simon chose well as Howie was in box number 2.

Vicki Barbolak brought laughter to the studio again. The comedienne talked about how to pick up men. It was such an epic performance as the judges enjoyed it. They loved it, and Howie told her to clear her schedule for the finals.

We Three opted for a reggae-sounding jam title "Make Up" for their performance that night. Simon didn't actually love it, saying their perfomance was a mess. Howie added that the song didn't "pop" and wasn't "contagious." But Mel B defended the sibling trio, saying that Simon and Howie were being harsh.

Singing a rendition of Maxwell's "This Woman's Work" was Glennis Grace. It was her favorite song and that earned her a standing ovation from all four judges. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" screamed Mel B. Simon, meanwhile, said that it was the best performance of the night, adding that her voice was incredible.

Violinist Brian King Joseph offered an interesting performance as he added a twist of R&B and mixed it with the dramatics of the TransSiberian Orchestra in his performance. Heidi gushed over him, saying that he was on fire and she loved him. Simon loved it just as much, saying the performance was in a different league from everything they'd seen that night.

Rounding out that night was Howie's Golden Buzzer winner Courtney Hadwin. One of the frontrunners in the current season, she went wild on the stage by singing "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf. It was such an energetic performance, though Mel B said that she could see that Courtney was being nervous. But that didn't stop Heidi and Simon to sing a high praise for her. Howie even predicted that she would win this season.
