The Hulk depicter also reveals that 'we're not just doing reshoots,' adding that they are going to finish the movie.

AceShowbiz - The recent reshoots on "Avengers 4" will "change the direction" of the upcoming movie, according to Marvel star Mark Ruffalo.

The 50-year-old actor, who plays Dr. Bruce Banner and his raging alter ego the Hulk in the comic book franchise, made the comments as his co-stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Paul Rudd were spotted back on the set of the blockbuster movie in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ruffalo told the The Marvelists podcast that the film has still yet to finish initial production, despite the bulk of it being filmed concurrently with "Avengers: Infinity War" last year.

"We're not just doing reshoots," he said. "We're going to finish the movie, which we really didn't get to finish totally when we left it last year."

He called the filmmaking on the set of the ensemble movie as "organic", and revealed that the project is changing on a regular basis as directors Joe and Anthony Russo are still working on it.

"Some of (the decision making process regarding the plot) is happening while we're there," Ruffalo explained. "It's pretty amazing. And we'll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it cause we wanna take it in another direction. It's a very living organism, even as we approach it being a locked picture, we're still working on it."

However, some have speculated that Ruffalo is being purposefully kept in the dark by film bosses after accidentally revealing the end of "Avengers: Infinity War" months before it was released.

In an interview with "Good Morning America" in July last year, the "Spotlight" star was reprimanded by his co-star Don Cheadle after blurting out the ending.

"In this next one, half... everybody dies!" Ruffalo said, before quickly backtracking. "Not everybody. No... was that? Can we rewind that part? Am I in trouble? I just get a little impulsive sometimes."

The untitled follow-up to "Avengers: Infinity War" will be released in May 2019.
