The Tyrion Lannister depicter reveals what is his character thinking on the relationship between Daenerys and Jon Snow.

AceShowbiz - Peter Dinklage has the answer of the burning question from season 7 finale of "Game of Thrones". The Tyrion Lannister depicter explains to Entertainment Weekly the reason behind his character's rather dark and troubled expression in the episode.

The season 7 finale saw [SPOILER ALERT!] Tyrion lingering around Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) cabin door. His expression changed as he heard noises coming from the room as the Mother of Dragons and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) were having a sexual intercourse. That prompted fans to wonder what was Tyrion thinking in that moment?

"Keep it down over there, I'm trying to get some sleep!" Peter jokes, before he offered a more serious and thoughtful answer. "No, ah, it's complicated...," he says.

"A lot of the time with Tyrion, it's professional and personal. Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her -- or thinks he does," Peter explains. "She's awe-inspiring. He's questioning that because he doesn't have a good track record for falling in love."

The Emmy winner continues, "There's jealousy wrapped up in there. And he loves Jon Snow, too. They're the two people he has the most in common with, in a way -- they're both outsiders in their own families who have refused to follow the path their family has taken, and hopefully for the better. He's wondering how smart of a move [Jon and Dany getting romantically involved is], because passion and politics don't mix well. He knows the two of them getting together could be very dangerous."

Does this revelation that Tyrion is feeling jealous of Jon and Daenerys' relationship confirm the common fan theory that the former will betray his allies in the upcoming season 8? Fans assumed that his meeting with longtime foe and sister Cersei Lannister in season 7 might be the hint of him turning his back on Daenerys. During the meeting, Cersei revealed to Tyrion that she was pregnant but fans never got the end of their conversation. In addition, things may be interesting once he learns that Jon and Daenerys are related and that Jon has a claim to the Iron Throne.

Peter is once again nominated for an Emmy later this month for his role on the hit HBO series. This time, however, he's going to be put against co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who portrays his brother Jaime Lannister.

"Game of Thrones" is set to return for the 6-part eighth and final season in 2019.
