Evan Peters is involved in a plane emergency situation, the Coven witches are back with a vengeful agenda, Jessica Lange looks terrified and Cody Fern's character has creepy eyes in the video.

AceShowbiz - "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" has finally debuted its actual footage in a new promo. It opens with a scene that previews "the end of the world," as said by a narrator. A plane, whose passengers include Evan Peters' character, is shaking violently as a big explosion is seen in the sky.

There's a scene of destruction and a man wearing a hazmat suit, before the video features other returning actors, such as Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Billie Lourd, Dylan McDermott, Emma Roberts and many others.

The Coven witches, led by Paulson's Cordelia Goode, look threatening, as they apparently return for vengeance. Cody Fern's Michael Langdon has some scary eyes and creepily says, "Maybe it's time to eat somebody."

Lange's Constance Langdon looks terrified as she holds her face, while Farmiga's "Murder House" character Violet Harmon hops a train. Roberts' Madison Montgomery appears to threaten someone as she says, "I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me." There's also a glimpse of Rubber Man.

"Apocalypse" will be a crossover between season 1 "Murder House" and season 3 "Coven". Also returning for the eighth season are Connie Britton as Vivien Harmon, Joan Collins as the grandmother of Evan's hairdresser character, Kathy Bates as Miss Meade, Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie, Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow, and Stevie Nicks. The cast also includes Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman.

Executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall said at the show's TCA panel in August that the season's title should be taken literally. "The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins," she said.

Porter, meanwhile, revealed that the show's depiction of apocalypse would be different than what fans expect. "I thought, because of 'The 100' and 'Apocalypse', that I knew everything about what life after an apocalypse would be-but Ryan Murphy and the writers of 'American Horror Story' have shown a whole other side of an apocalypse," she shared. "So, I think people will be surprised and intrigued, and yet again, I think, blown away by the performances that I'm seeing."

The new season of the horror anthology series is set to premiere September 12 on FX.
