In another news, the upcoming DC Comics series has cast Alan Tudyk as main villain Mr. Nobody.

AceShowbiz - As the production on the upcoming DC Universe series "Doom Patrol" is currently underway, set photos taken from the series' filming set start to hit the web. The new set photos offer fans the first look at the show's characters.

Taken from its Atlanta, Georgia set on Friday, August 31, one of the photos showed Negative Man whose actor is still kept in the wraps. Also spotted in the photos were actresses Diane Guerrero and April Bowlby who will be playing Crazy Jane and Elasti-Woman respectively.

Diane's Crazy Jane did look like how the character is depicted in the comics. She sported a black outfit which she paired with a matching inner featuring holes. Meanwhile, April's Elasti-Woman was seen wearing a simple green dress. In addition to "Doom Patrol", April will play the character on "Titans" which is set to debut on October 12.

The last photo featured what looked like to be stunt doubles for Robotman, who will be played by Brendan Fraser. Donning a black leather jacket, he was seen sitting in a driver seat of a car.

In another news, "Doom Patrol" has cast Alan Tudyk in the role of Mr. Nobody. After exposure to unknown experiments by ex-Nazis in post-war Paraguay, the man formerly known as Eric Morden emerges as a living shadow able to drain the sanity of others as the enigmatic, and totally insane, Mr. Nobody.

Written by Jeremy Carver, "Doom Patrol" is a reimagining of one of DC's strangest group of outcasts, Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane. Led by the mysterious Dr. Caulder, they're called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg (Joivan Wade). Banding together, these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.

In addition to penning the script, Carver serves as executive producer. Also executive producing the series are Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Berlanti Prods' Sarah Schechter. Berlanti Productions produces in association with Warner Bros Television.

The original Doom Patrol was created by Arnold Drake and Bob Haney in 1963. "The World's Strangest Heroes" originally consisted of The Chief, Robotman, Elasti-Girl and Negative Man. The team has often been compared to Marvel's more successful X-Men franchise because of their lack of cultural acceptance within the DC Universe, the strange-looking characters and a mentor in a wheelchair.

"Doom Patrol" is set to debut on the upcoming DC Universe streaming service in 2019.
