'I can't believe it's been 15 years. I can't believe how many people bought that record and loved that record,' the singer says in a clip.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff has marked the 15th anniversary of the release of her second studio album "Metamorphosis".

The actress/singer shot to fame in her teens as the lead character of Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire" but proved equally prominent in the music industry as Metamorphosis, and her three subsequent albums, garnered commercial success.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, August 28, the "Younger" star shared a series of videos to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the album, which she released as a 15-year-old on August 26, 2003.

"So, a couple of days ago was the 15th anniversary of my very first (pop music) record Metamorphosis," she gushed in the accompanying clip. "I can't believe it's been 15 years. I can't believe how many people bought that record and loved that record."

Hilary, who first released a Christmas covers album in 2002, then thanked those who had taken the time to listen to and buy her music 15 years ago, and also reflected on the surprise she felt when the album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and sold over 200,000 copies in its first week.

"I wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone for supporting me in something that was really scary to accomplish in some place that I didn't necessarily feel comfortable with, which was music (sic)," the 30-year-old smiled. "A big thank you for everyone who listened, everyone who related and everyone that my music resonated with. It means so much. Thank you very much."

Meanwhile, Hilary is about to tackle another milestone as she gears up to welcome her second child.

The star announced in June that she and her boyfriend Matthew Koma are expecting a baby girl to join her six-year-old son Luca, whom she shares with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.
