Brandon Johnson claims the singer knew she was taking the strong drugs and fully understood the risk of it.

AceShowbiz - Brandon Johnson, who reportedly provided Demi Lovato with drugs before her overdose, has finally broken his silence. Talking to TMZ, the 31-year-old man detailed about what happened on the night of her fatal accident, confirming that the singer did text him at 4 A.M. to come to her house.

"When I was with her, she was fine the whole time," he told the news outlet, adding that Lovato was "a little drunk" when he arrived at her house. However, "nothing out of the ordinary." Talking about the drugs that she overdosed on, Johnson claimed she took aftermarket pills and fully understood the risk of it.

"I disclosed to her that these are not a pharmaceutical, they're aftermarket pills, much stronger. She understood fully. It was unfortunate what happened," he added. While previous report suggested that the two "freebased Oxycodone on tin foil," Johnson admitted that he wasn't sure "what was mixed in, to tell you the truth."

Johnson went on saying that Lovato ended up "passing out" after they hang out until 8 A.M. "She passed out, and I leave as normally as I do," he said. "She was sleeping. I put her under the covers, tucked her in -- sleeping."

"It's definitely a wakeup call for her obviously, and for me it definitely opens my eyes to the dangers of these drugs," he continued saying. "I hate to hurt anybody, I'm not trying to hurt my friend. She's a really good friend of mine. I care for her a lot. I hope she comes out of this better than she went into it."

Johnson also claimed that their friendship sometimes turned sexual. "It was a flirty friendship, but nothing more. It kind of grew into more of a sexual friendship," he noted. "Later on in the relationship we messed around, but, for the most part we were just friends."
