'The Danish Girl' actor reunites with his 'The Theory of Everything' co-star in the upcoming adventure drama.

AceShowbiz - Amazon Studios has launched a first-look photo for its upcoming Victorian adventure drama "The Aeronauts". The photo features the film's lead actors, Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, riding a hot air balloon. This marks Redmayne and Jones' second time working together as they previously starred in "The Theory of Everything".

Redmayne, who takes the role of ambitious scientist James Glaisher, is seen standing on the left side of the vehicle, enjoying the scenery from above. Meanwhile, Jones, who plays wealthy young widow and pilot Amelia Wren, can be seen sitting across "The Danish Girl" actor. She fearlessly sits near the burner of the hot air balloon instead of the basket.

Producer Todd Lieberman claimed that the pair were actually photographed at 2,000 feet in the air with the help of a helicopter. "This image was taken after we launched Felicity and Eddie 2,000 feet in the air, performing their scripted scene, while a helicopter captured it all," the 45-year-old producer said in a press statement.

"A top priority for us on 'The Aeronauts' is authenticity. With that in mind, we intend to do as much balloon filming in the sky as the weather will allow," Lieberman explained. "We're fortunate that Felicity and Eddie have the nerve to do these stunts themselves as it authenticates our entire approach."

Redmayne and Jones will be joined by other talented actors, including Oscar nominee Tom Courtenay, Anne Reid, Rebecca Front, Vincent Perez, Tim McInnery, Phoebe Fox and Himesh Patel.

While Lieberman is producing the movie with David Hoberman, Tom Harper, whose credits include "The Woman in Black: Angel of Death" and "Peaky Blinders", serves as the director. Amazon also taps "Wonder" screenwriter Jack Thorne to pen the script.

"The Aeronauts" explores the extraordinary journey of hot air balloon pilot Amelia and scientist James in 1862. They travel together in an open balloon as they make discoveries. However, when their balloon ascends further, they are forced into an epic fight for survival to make it back on land again.

Amazon has yet to announce the release date of the movie.
