The former 'American Idol' judge finally agrees to legally split from his second wife Erika, four years after she filed her divorce papers.

AceShowbiz - Music producer Randy Jackson has finally responded to his second wife's request for a divorce - four years after her filing.

Erika Jackson initially moved to end the couple's 18-year marriage in September, 2014, when she cited irreconcilable differences for the split.

At the time, she asked for full physical and joint legal custody of their youngest child, son Jordan, as well as spousal support and legal fees.

Randy went years without responding to the divorce demand, but now it appears he has finally accepted the news, and has lodged his own paperwork, listing the same reason for their separation, reports The Blast.

He agrees to pay Erika spousal support, but is seeking to have each party cover their own legal costs.

Meanwhile, custody is no longer an issue as Jordan is now 21. Their daughter, Zoe, is also an adult.

It's not known why Randy, 62, took so long to answer to the filing.

They wed in 1995, five years after the producer divorced first wife Elizabeth Jackson, with whom he also shares a child.
