The pop superstar says in an interview, 'I think it's important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies.'

AceShowbiz - Beyonce is in "no rush" to work off her "mommy pouch" after discovering a new appreciation and confidence in her fuller figure.

The Formation icon has reflected on her changing attitude to her body in a new cover article for U.S. Vogue, in which she reveals she faced a rough recovery period following an emergency caesarean section last summer (17), when she gave birth to twins Sir and Rumi, siblings for her six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with her husband Jay-Z.

"After the C-section, my core felt different," she explained. "It had been major surgery... I needed time to heal, to recover.

"During my recovery, I gave myself self-love and self-care, and I embraced being curvier. I accepted what my body wanted to be."

The message of self-acceptance is one Beyonce, who tipped the scales at 218 pounds (98 kilograms) when she welcomed the twins, wanted to impress upon readers by embracing a more natural look for the accompanying photoshoot with 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell.

"I think it's important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies," she shared. "That's why I stripped away the wigs and hair extensions and used little makeup for this shoot."

Beyonce, who made her big return to the stage as a mother-of-three at California's Coachella festival in April, insists she has yet to regain her pre-pregnancy figure, but she is happy to be carrying a few extra pounds - and she has no shame in sporting what has become known as a FUPA (fat upper p**sy area).

"To this day my arms, shoulders, breasts, and thighs are fuller," she continued. "I have a little mommy pouch, and I'm in no rush to get rid of it. I think it's real.

"Whenever I'm ready to get a six-pack, I will go into beast zone and work my a** off until I have it. But right now, my little FUPA and I feel like we are meant to be."

Beyonce's rare candid comments about her changing figure appear to put to rest recent rumours suggesting she is pregnant again after fans noticed her slightly-rounded stomach during last month's European leg of her ongoing On The Run II Tour with Jay-Z.

The Vogue shoot for the publication's prestigious September issue has also made history as Tyler Mitchell, who was hand-picked by Beyonce, is the first African-American photographer to take charge of its cover imagery in its 125-year history. He is also one of the youngest to ever land the honour.
