Chris Rock Cast as Crime Boss in Season 4 of 'Fargo'

The upcoming season of the series will be set in 1950 Kansas City, Missouri as his character's family battles Italian immigrants.

AceShowbiz - Comedian Chris Rock will play the head of a crime family in the next season of TV drama "Fargo".

The fourth run of the quirky series, inspired by the cult Coen Brothers 1996 movie and created by Noah Hawley, will be set in 1950 Kansas City, Missouri as Rock's family battles Italian immigrants.

According to Deadline, Rock's character and his enemy trade their eldest sons to end the turf war between them, but then the head of the Kansas City mafia dies in hospital.

"I'm a fan of 'Fargo' and I can't wait to work with Noah," Rock says.

Fargo's first season picked up three Emmys, including Outstanding Mini-series and two Golden Globes, while the second run of the show landed two Emmy Awards.

The most recent 2017 season, starring Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, and David Thewlis, also picked up an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
