The rapper notes that there are still around 1,300 homeless kids sleeping outside every night in the Bay Area, which 'raised me and made me everything I am.'

AceShowbiz - Rapper G-Eazy is launching an initiative to help underprivileged youth in his California hometown.

The Me, Myself & I hitmaker kicked off his Endless Summer tour last month, but he has taken time out of his busy schedule to create the Endless Summer Fund. G-Eazy, real name Gerald Gillum, hosted an event with organisers at Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco and teamed up with bosses at Puma to donate $50,000 (£38,100) to the nonprofit on Friday, July 27, according to Billboard.

"The (San Francisco) Bay Area raised me and made me everything I am, so it means a lot to me to be able to come home and give back," he said. "And although it's one of the most beautiful and popular places to live in in the country, there are still around 1,300 homeless kids sleeping outside every night."

"Larkin Street is one of the oldest and biggest homeless youth centers in the region, so it means everything to be able to help these kids by donating resources," he added.
