AceShowbiz - Former World Wrestling Entertainment star Brian Christopher Lawler has passed away. The son of WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler died on Sunday, July 29 at the age of 46, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The former professional wrestler, who performed as Grand Master Sexay as one-half of the tag team Too Cool with Scotty 2 Hotty, was found hanging in his cell at the Hardeman County Jail on Saturday morning. He was taken to a hospital where he remained in critical condition until late Sunday morning. He died surrounded by family and friends after being placed on life support.
"Corrections officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived," said TBI. "Lawler was transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis where he died Sunday afternoon." His death is currently under investigation, though authorities do not suspect foul play.
Brian's brother [Kevin Lawler took to Facebook to confirm the sad news. "Lots of different stories and rumors about my brother today. But as of 30 minutes ago he has officially passed. I love U and will miss U my brother! A very sad day today. Words can't describe," he wrote.
WWE said in a statement, "WWE is saddened to learn that Brian Christopher Lawler, who is best known in WWE as Too Cool's Grandmaster Sexay, has passed away. Lawler, who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler, competed during the height of the Attitude Era. WWE extends its condolences to Lawler's family, friends and fans."

Fellow wrestler Zacy Ryder also mourned Brian's death. He tweeted, "RIP Brian Christopher. I think I had every piece of Too Cool merch in 2000."

Triple H added on his own Twitter account, "Incredibly sad news about the passing of Brian Christopher. A tragic loss of life. Both @StephMcMahon and I are thinking of Jerry Lawler and the entire Lawler family this evening."

Brian was released from the WWE in 2001 following a drug issue and had since only made a few wrestling appearances. He was arrested on July 7 for DUI, driving on a revoked license and evading arrest.
