The dancer claims in a new interview that she likes to use her body to teach five-year-old Everly to feel comfortable in her own skin as she grows up.

AceShowbiz - Jenna Dewan has no problem baring all for photoshoots because she thinks the sexy snaps set a positive example for her daughter.

The Step Up star claims she lost her "sense of modesty" when she became a dancer as a teenager, and now she likes to use her body to teach five-year-old Everly to feel comfortable in her own skin as she grows up.

Jenna posed nude for a series of sexy and sensual shots for the new issue of Women's Health magazine, and tells the publication, "I want my daughter to see (the pictures) and be like, 'Wow, my mother was a fully actualised, sensual woman'".

The 37-year-old is also cautious about how she compliments her daughter, explaining she doesn't want to focus on Everly's appearance.

"I'm cautious not to always say, 'You're beautiful, or you look pretty'," she adds. "I say those things, but I follow it up with, ‘You’re smart, you’re strong, you're opinionated'".

Jenna also tells the publication she doesn't buy into the idea that women have to become more modest and less sexy after having children.

"Apparently, when you become a mother, you're supposed to leave your sexuality at the door, and I never understood that," she says. "I think there's nothing sexier than becoming a mother. You give life. It’s everything. And you don't change who you are inside just because you have a kid".

Dewan, who recently split from Everly's dad Channing Tatum, also uses her new magazine interview to take aim at those who have criticised her for posting racy photos of herself on social media.

"Women are so much stronger and more powerful, and living in our goddess energy, when we come together to lift each other up rather than tear each other down," she scolds.
