The 38-year-old actor reportedly stayed over two hours and was 'somber and quiet and you could tell he was in a very serious mood.'

AceShowbiz - Even though they are no longer dating, Wilmer Valderrama still cares a lot for his ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato. One day after the Disney alum was rushed to hospital for a drug overdose, the actor was spotted visiting his singer ex-girlfriend.

In some pictures obtained by E! News, Wilmer was seen arriving in his Tesla at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 25. The site reported that he arrived at approximately 3 P.M. and a security ushered him into a staff parking lot on site.

The "From Dusk Till Dawn" star reportedly stayed over two hours and seemed "very down." According to a source, he "was somber and quiet and you could tell he was in a very serious mood. He arrived and left by himself." Before visiting Demi, Wilmer grabbed lunch in Encino, California. An onlooker said of his demeanor, "He was serious, intense and seemed distant, but focused and very calm at the same time."

His serious and intense appearance didn't came as a surprise though, as he was reportedly "shocked" by the news of her overdose. "He knew she was going through a tough time but he wasn't prepared for this," a source previously shared. "He saw her through so many ups and downs and was her rock through some of her darkest moments. To see her back in such a sad and vulnerable place is heartbreaking for him."

The insider added that Wilmer "has always cared deeply for her and they truly remained friends after they broke up. Demi always hoped they would end up back together in the future. He's the love of her life and vice versa."

Demi was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious at a home in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday afternoon. Her rep later said in a statement, "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayer and support."
