The trailer hints that Nora's 'big mistake' is not the only thing that Team Flash has to deal with in the upcoming season as a new villain is making his way to Central City.

AceShowbiz - In upcoming season 5 of "The Flash", Team Flash is about to welcome two newcomers, though one may not be warmly welcome. The CW's series reveals that a new villain is heading to Central City through first season 5 trailer, which was unveiled at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 21.

The new trailer hints that the new season will pick up immediately after the shocking revelation at the end of the previous season, in which a girl Nora made a surprise appearance and shocked everyone by claiming that she's Nora, Barry and Iris' daughter from the future. Nora, who reveals that her superhero name is XS, explains that she's stucked in the present time after making a big mistake.

The trailer doesn't really gives away much hint at what the big mistake Nora is talking about, but it is definitely not the only thing that Team Flash has to deal with in the fifth season. Towards the end of the footage, a mysterious man is entering a dark room with a heavy breathing.

Donning a black robe, he walks to the room as he watches a TV that is showing the Flash, who "saves the city again." After reaching a desk, the man, who turns out to be Cicada, puts his weapon down, before it flickers with an interesting-looking red light. "American Pie" actor Chris Kline has been tapped to play the metahuman-hating villain, who first appeared in DC comics in 2001.

"We always take these villains from the comics and put them through the Flash blender. He's not so much a cult leader but his powers sort of present a challenge to team Flash that they've never dealt with before," EP Todd Helbing talked about Cicada during the show's panel at SDCC.

The Flash depicter Grant Gustin, who was joined by castmates Candice Patton, Jessica Parker-Kennedy, Carlos Valdes and Danielle Panabaker among others, also talked about some changes that are expected in season 5. "I think we're kind of all on different pages," he said. "Barry, Iris, and Nora are all in very different headspaces. Nora is pretty clingy to Barry. We don't know why. She's kind of attached to him when she arrives and a little more distant with Iris."

Grant also teased that his character would be donning an upgraded costume in the new season. It's "a really, really cool new suit," according to the actor, with Helbing adding that the new costume was the show's most comic book-inspired costume yet.

"The Flash" will return on Tuesday, Octover 9 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
