The 'Black Panther' actress admits that she doesn't really know what to say when someone says she looks good for 59.

AceShowbiz - Angela Bassett doesn't know how to react when people tell her she looks good for her age.

Ever since her breakout role in 1993 film "What's Love Got to Do with It", the African-American actress has won praise for her fit, toned figure.

But in an interview with publication PorterEdit, Angela admitted she often struggles for the correct response to compliments on her appearance.

"I guess it's a high-class problem to have," she laughed. "But you don't really know what to say when someone says: 'Oh, my God, you look so good (for 59).' What do they expect? For you to be completely broken down?"

The "Black Panther" actress, who recently stunned on the red carpet at the "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" premiere in Paris in a crystal embellished jumpsuit, certainly isn't content to let nature take its course.

She works with a trainer four to five times a week at home in Los Angeles and admitted that she abides by a strict diet.

"I'll try to get to the hotel gym and do 30 minutes of cardio and lift a couple of weights or something. But I'm not getting up at 4 am to work out," she said, explaining her routine on the promotional trail. "I'm regimented and rigorous about what I'm eating. Diet is 85 per cent of the whole thing for me."

As well as building a successful movie career, Angela has been married to actor, Courtney B. Vance of "The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story" fame, since 1997, and the pair share 12-year-old twins; son Slater and daughter Bronwyn.

When asked for the secret to their longevity in divorce-prone Hollywood, she answered: "He always said divorce is not an option."

And when it comes to how she handles her husband, Angela added: "I've always told him: 'Do what you want to do, because I don't want you to get to the end and blame anything on me.'"
