AceShowbiz - Sean 'Diddy' Combs' son Christian 'King' Combs has recreated The Notorious B.I.G.'s One More Chance video as a tribute to his father's late best friend.
Directed by Andrew Sandler, in the clip for Love You Better, Combs and Brown pay a visual homage to Biggie's 1994 classic by roping in hip-hop star DJ Khaled to recreate late rapper Heavy D's memorable opening scene as the doorman to an over-subscribed house party.
Combs is seen sitting in a Baroque throne chair similar to one Biggie sat in in the original video, and wearing a similar white outfit, in the house party-themed promo clip.
In an interview with Billboard magazine, the 20-year-old, whose father founded the label Bad Boy Records with Biggie as its flagship artist, explained how much of an influence the Juicy Fruit rapper has had on his career.
"I have always been inspired by the iconic Bad Boy music of the '90s, and Notorious B.I.G. has been a heavy influence in my musical career since I realised I wanted to continue the legacy of such a remarkable era in hip-hop," Combs told the publication. "It is an honour to pay homage to his iconic One More Chance music video alongside my friend and collaborator Chris Brown as we were waiting for this very moment to bring the video to light.
"One More Chance is one of my favorite videos and its amazing to have Love You Better bring back the energy and essence of the video for the culture," the Bad Boy signee added.
Combs' song takes it beat from 1996 R'n'B classic Touch Me Tease Me by Case ft. Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige, and the video also features his CYN crew, which includes rappers Kai Ca$h, ShaqnLivin, and K Wales.
The Dolce & Gabbana model added: "I want people to know the '90s music scene will continue to inspire today's top hits across genres but will always need to include unique and modern sounds."
