The four new songs which the rapper releases are 'Work Out', 'Wala Cam', 'I Might Need Security' and '65th and Ingleside'.

AceShowbiz - After disappointing fans by saying that he won't release any new album this week, Chance the Rapper surprised them on Wednesday, July 18 when he premiered not just one, but four new songs. These mark his first new releases of 2018.

The four new songs are "Work Out", "Wala Cam", "I Might Need Security" and "65th and Ingleside". While he references his collaborator Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover on "65th and Ingleside", Chance calls out Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel for his poor response to continuous police brutality in the city.

"I'm expecting a resignation/ And open investigation on all these paid vacation for murderers," he raps on the song, before saying that he actually purchased Chicago-based website Chicagoist from WNYC in order to "run you racist b****es outta business."

The collection of songs are his first new solo tracks since his Christmas 2017 mixtape with Jeremih titled "Merry Christmas Lil' Mama: Re-Wrapped". Earlier this week, Chance told the Chicago Tribune he was planning to release a new album in time for his benefit concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics, but he tweeted on July 17, "Sorry no album this week, def been in the studio."

While it's still unclear whether or not the songs will be included on his upcoming album, Chance previously said that he is working on a collaborative album with Kanye West. "I don't know of a timeline yet, the trajectory of it, but he's coming here [to Chicago] to work on it some more," he told the Chicago Tribune. "We've just started making it, but I don't want to manipulate the situation and impose any time frame, because that can hinder you."

Not only with Kanye, but he also has a collaborative album with Childish incoming. "We got six songs that are all fire," he explained. "But I think the album's gonna be more than 14 songs. I think it's gonna be a full thing."
