Will Smith and director Chris Addison are set to join forces for the new fantasy detective series.

AceShowbiz - Veep writer Will Smith and director Chris Addison are reteaming for a new fantasy detective series, called Warlock Holmes.

Addison directed a handful of Veep episodes, while fellow Brit Smith wrote for the show alongside creator Armando Iannucci.

The pair picked up Emmy Awards in 2015 and 2016, when the series was named Outstanding Comedy Series, and Addison picked up a Directors Guild of America award, according to Deadline.

He is expected to direct Warlock Holmes now his schedule has cleared following the completion of Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels revamp. Addison is also poised to direct Hallelujah!, the upcoming biopic of composer George Frederick Handel.
