AceShowbiz - After 2 year-long development, TV series adaptation of Anna Rice's "Vampire Chronicles" has finally found its home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming show will be heading to Hulu, which has successfully beat multiple networks in a competitive bid.

" 'THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES' is coming in for a landing at Hulu, the Emmy-winning broadcaster that brought us one of the most seminal literary TV adaptation of our time, 'The Handmaid's Tale'," Rice announced on her Facebook page on Tuesday, July 17. "There will be many more announcements in the weeks to come, but we wanted to bring you this exciting news right away."

The news arrives after Bryan Fuller, who served as a showrunner for the project, exited six months ago. The new show will be written by Rice's son Christopher. Christopher recently took to his Twitter account, writing, "It should surprise no one that Lestat is a fan of Offred's resilience and resistance. Thrilled to finally announce that THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES TV series is coming in for a landing at @hulu."

Christopher also assured international fans in a separate tweet. "To our international VAMPIRE CHRONICLES fans, please don't feel marginalized by today's announcement about our TV series landing at Hulu here in the US. Everyone involved is keenly aware of the international demand for this show. WE SEE YOU. More announcements to come!" he wrote.

The new show will be executive produced by Ann and Christopher alongside Anonymous Content's David Kanter and Steve Golin.
