AceShowbiz - Upcoming season 3 of Netflix's "The Crown" will feature Olivia Colman taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy. And now, the streaming giant has released its first look at the new actress' royal potrayal.

The image sees Colman's the Queen donning a pink outfit while sipping a nice cup of tea. She pairs her pink outfit with her signature pearls. She looks rather tense in the photo as if she's having a serious talk with someone off screen.

"Patience," the official Twitter account of the Emmy-nominated series simply writes alongside the photo.

Colman is set to portray an older version of the royal, who was played by Foy in season 1 and 2. The upcoming season 3 will also feature a slew of new cast members including Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon. Matt Smith previously played Prince Philip with Vanessa Kirby portraying Princess Margaret. Meanwhile, Matthew Goode took the role of Lord Snowdown in the first two seasons.

When asked about Colman portraying the Queen, show creator Peter Morgan shared, "I think we all felt Olivia had something that corresponded [to what we wanted], that ability to be both plain and dazzling, and to be both knowable and unknowable. And then we rang her up, and she said yes on the phone."

Season 3 will pick up roughly where the second season ended and cover the period of 1964 through the early 1970s. The new season is expected to arrive sometime in 2019.
