The 'Scandal' star and her actor husband will portray Dawn and Oggie, opposite Katharine McPhee.

AceShowbiz - "Scandal" star Katie Lowes and her husband Adam Shapiro are to play lovers in "Waitress" the Musical on Broadway.
The real-life couple will play Dawn and Ogie, opposite Katharine McPhee, from July 17.
It's not the first time Lowes and Shapiro have worked together - he appeared on an episode of Scandal in 2013, and they co-starred in the short film Chris Weisberg Is Growing Bald back in 2009.
Meanwhile, newly-engaged McPhee made her Broadway debut in singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles' hit musical at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in April. Her run was scheduled to come to a close on June 17, but agreed to stay with the show until August 19.
