Keya Morgan says in a statement, 'This is a witchhunt by his daughter and her lawyer against me because she cannot stand the fact Stan likes me so much.'

AceShowbiz - Stan Lee's former business manager has blasted the comic book icon's daughter over "false" allegations of elder abuse.

Keya Morgan was arrested last month for reporting a false emergency, relating to an incident at the veteran Marvel mogul's California home in May, when he called police and alleged two gunmen were on the property.

Lee's old attorney Tom Lallas quickly obtained a temporary elder abuse restraining order against Morgan, but a Los Angeles judge dismissed the protection order on Friday, July 06, after ruling Lallas had not been hired by the 95-year-old.

During the court hearing, attorneys for Stan's daughter, J.C. Lee, argued that they were the proper legal representatives for her father, and they subsequently filed a new request for a restraining order against Morgan.

In the new court papers, obtained by TMZ.com, Morgan was accused of mishandling over $5 million (£3.7 million) of Stan's funds, and was claimed to have subjected the veteran star to severe physical and emotional injuries, as well as tried to isolate him from his family.

Lee's new legal representative, Kirk Schenck, told the outlet, "The Lee Family is conducting its own investigation, and working with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department), in various investigations into Keya Morgan's and others' who may have taken advantage of the Lee Family.

"We will not comment further on the ongoing investigations for witness and evidentiary protection."

However, Morgan has now fired back at the Lee family, insisting everything he's done for the Marvel legend has been in his best interests.

"For over 10 years I have shown nothing but love, respect & kindness to Stan Lee, and his wife, a fact he has repeated countless times," he told TMZ in a statement.

"This is a witchhunt by his daughter and her lawyer against me because she cannot stand the fact Stan likes me so much. I will 100 per cent prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the allegations against me are false. The truth will come out."

Stan lost his wife, Joan, a year ago.
