Featuring Samuel L. Jackson's Elijah Price, James McAvoy's Kevin Wendell Crumb and Bruce Willis' David Dunn, the poster seemingly hints at their current states when the movie begins.

AceShowbiz - Here's your first official look at "Glass". M. Night Shyamalan takes to Twitter to unveil the first teaser poster of the "Split" sequel, featuring the three main characters together. They are Samuel L. Jackson's frail-bodied evil mastermind Elijah Price / Mr. Glass, James McAvoy's Kevin Wendell Crumb a.k.a. The Horde and Bruce Willis' superpowered David Dunn.

In the poster, all three characters are sitting but their heads are not captured in the image. Their reflections on the floor show their superhero/supervillain personas, but what's interesting is that the other set of depiction of the characters seem to hint at their current states when the upcoming movie begins.

Elijah, sitting on a wheelchair, and Kevin appear to be wearing hospital and asylum garb respectively. Meanwhile, Kevin is also wearing some kind of uniform and the chains around him suggest that there has been a darker turn in his life.

Shyamalan, who returns as director for "Glass", releases the poster along with announcement about the movie's participation at the San Diego Comic-Con. "I'm so excited to tell you that @GlassMovie will be at #ComicCon. I will be in Hall H on July 20th with the cast! You can expect a surprise as well...," he writes, before sharing the poster. "But if you need your #GlassMovie fix before July 20th, here's the world premiere of our teaser poster," he adds.

First footage of the movie was screened at CinemaCon in April. Plot details are still kept under wraps, but Shyamalan said this at the event at the time, "In 'Split', I created the origin story for an anarchist that could be good or could be bad." He further teased, "The worlds of 'Unbreakable' and 'Split' finally collide in 'Glass'."

Sarah Paulson, who also stars in the movie, added, "What if these real life superheroes and supervillains are somehow locked up together? What could go wrong?"

As revealed before, Paulson plays Dr. Ellie Staple, a psychiatrist treating people who "believe themselves to be superheroes." David, Elijah and Kevin are her patients.

"Glass" is set to arrive January 18, 2019 in the U.S.
