'BoJack Horseman' Announces Season 5 Release Date

The Netflix animated series also unveils the first look at the upcoming season that features a wounded BoJack.

AceShowbiz - "BoJack Horseman" is returning for another season. The Netflix animated series has announced that it will return for season 5 on September 14.

The announcement arrives via the animated show's Twitter account. Responding to a fan who asks about the fifth season, the account writes, "wooowwww congratulations you are the 10000000 person to ask that question your prize is the answer sept 14th now please stop asking me."

It is later followed by a hilarious banter between BoJack and Netflix's accounts. "i remember a 87% coherent conversation where you told me to do this right now," BoJack's account tweets, to which Netflix responds, "do i have to revoke your twitter privileges."

"BoJack Horseman" also unveils the first look at the upcoming season. The image features a wounded BoJack. Meanwhile, a woman is seen pointing a gun toward him.

A lot of people are looking at him through a glass wall. However, fans can rest assured as it may be part of his new Princess Carolyn-produced series "Philbert".

The black comedy-drama stars Will Arnett, who voices BoJack Horseman, a self-loathing alcoholic horse currently in his 50s, whose acting career peaked when he starred in a successful '90s family sitcom called "Horsin' Around". Also among the returning cast are Alison Brie as Diane Nguyen, Amy Sedaris as Princess Carolyn, Aaron Paul as Todd Chavez and Paul F. Tompkins as Mr. Peanutbutter.

Created by Raphael Bob-Walsberg, "BoJack Horseman" is executive produced by Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright, along with Arnett and Paul. Meanwhile, Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company is producing.
