AceShowbiz - Hundreds of fans gathered in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles on Tuesday night, June 19 to honor memories of XXXTENTACION. The memorial started out peacefully around 8 P.M., but soon turned chaotic when the crowd grew much larger, shutting down Melrose Avenue.

Fans were climbing on top of vehicles and swarming the streets and sidewalks. Some even got on the rooftops of some of the shops and jumped off as the crowd below caught them. There was also a group of fans who formed an X out of candles in the middle of the street. They began moshing and dancing around each other at some points.

When the crowd appeared to be getting more rowdy, officers dressed in riot gear began moving in to disperse the crowd, but fans threw rocks and bottles at them. It prompted the officers to fire rubber and pepper bullets into the area. Thankfully, the cops were able to get everything under control within time and fans eventually dispersed.

XXXTENTACION was leaving a motorcycle dealer in Deerfield Beach in Florida on Monday, June 18 when he was gunned down by two men. He was found without a pulse and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities described the suspects as two males wearing hoodies, while the shooter covered his face with a red mask. The men are believed to have fled in a black SUV with tinted windows.

Following his death, the late rapper's team issued an official statement on Tuesday, June 19. "XXXTENTACION touched the lives of millions around the globe and will forever reside in the hearts of countless fans who listened to his music, attended his concerts and felt the glow of his uncontainable, undeniable and unique spirit," the statement read.
