The hip-hop star, real name Kasseem Dean, released his debut album One Man Band Man in 2007 and has since gone on to work with a number of stars, including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and his wife Alicia Keys.

Over the years, Swizz has also built up a reputation for his edgy personal style and he's now putting his flair for fashion to work for contemporary brand Faith Connexion.

"I love being partners with Faith because it's the brand of freedom and the future," he said in a statement, according to WWD.

Swizz's line is made up of 11 pieces, including T-shirts, leather jackets, hoodies and tracksuits.

Many of the garments feature the artwork of African-American artist Nina Chanel Abney, who is known for use of symbols and bright colours.

"It's also an honour to be working with the amazing Nina Chanel, who is a true artist in every form," the 39-year-old smiled.

The collection will debut at Faith Connexion's spring/summer 2019 presentation in Paris on Thursday, June 21, with the designs set to hit stores later in the year.

Regarding the collaboration, Faith Connexion president Maria Buccellati shared that the concept emerged organically, with brand bosses having previously worked with a number of artists and popular brands.

Specifically, the company has released collections with the likes of Italian streetwear label Kappa, French brand K-Way, artists Austin Blaisdell and Vincent Dacquin, DJ and Instagram star Sita Abellan, as well as leather jacket designer Pierre Rioufol.

In addition to his Faith Connexion gig, Swizz also acts as one of the faces of sportswear giant Reebok.
