Gal Gadot shares the new official picture that gives a clear look at her character in costume, writing, 'She's back....'

AceShowbiz - Wonder Woman is back in a new official photo of "Wonder Woman 1984". Gal Gadot shares the new photo on her Twitter page, writing in the caption, "She's back.... #WW84." The picture gives a clear look at her superhero character in costume.

Previously, the actress unveiled an official photo showing her character Diana Prince in silhouette as she stares at a wall of TV screens. Meanwhile, director Patty Jenkins, who returns for the sequel, shared a picture featuring Chris Pine's Steve Trevor, confirming the character's return despite his apparent death in the first movie.

Meanwhile, a new set video captures the filming of what appears to be a riot scene. People are seen running around between cars on the street, with some holding up placards as if they're in a protest. Gadot and Pine were reportedly spotted during the filming in Washington D.C. on Sunday, June 17.

The sequel is set in 1984, against the backdrop of the Cold War, and will feature Gadot's titular Amazonian warrior princess facing off with her nemesis Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig. Pedro Pascal also joins the cast in a secret role.

There have been speculations about how the movie will bring back Steve Trevor and one theory is linked to Pascal's possible role. It's suggested that he may not be the original Steve, but a disguise for a darker presence. In "Wonder Woman" comic book No. 289 (1982), Wonder Woman's frequent nemesis Doctor Psycho creates a powerful body out of ectoplasm that looked like Steve and fought Diana as Captain Wonder. Should this be true, Pascal may play Doctor Psycho.

Dave Callaham and Geoff Johns write the script for the sequel, while Deborah and Zack Snyder are producing. The movie is slated for a November 1, 2019 release in the United States.
