The 'Being Human' actor confirms the separation when a fan asks about his relationship with his fiance.

AceShowbiz - "Looking" alum Russell Tovey has separated from fiance Steve Brockman just four months after announcing their engagement. The split was confirmed by the actor when he took to Instagram on Sunday, June 17 to post a picture of him in a gym.
A fan asked on the comment section if he was still with Steve and he said no. "@Russelltovey are you still with @Steve_The_Brockman?" asked the fan. The "Quantico" star replied to the fan, "no darling."
Furthermore, the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram and Russell deleted all his pictures with Steve. The latter, meanwhile, still keeps his pictures with Russell. The last picture where they were seen together was from March this year.
The photo saw the then-lovers standing in front of an art display. "Two pink sausages," Steve captioned the post. The actor and the former rugby player looked happy as they posed with their arms around each other's shoulders before a picture of two long pink shapes.
Back in February, Russell expressed his excitement about being engaged to Steve. "Completely unexpected but very very happy and looking forward to having a proper party to celebrate when back in London," he told Daily Mail.
Russell came out as gay when he was 18 but didn't take gay role in movies until he was 30. The actor revealed to The Guardian that his career took off when he started to play gay roles. He claimed that gay roles suit him the best although he admitted that choosing to play gay roles wasn't his conscious decision at first.
"It wasn't a conscious decision," he admitted. "And it was only the other day that I realized it had been important somehow. For so long, as a young actor, I had this anxiety about making sure I could get straight roles, and now I know that's not necessary. The gay roles are the best for me. Being gay has made my career," Russell said.
