The 'View' moderator takes aim at the 'Roseanne' star for retweeting a tampered image of her wearing an offensive anti-Donald Trump T-shirt.

AceShowbiz - Whoopi Goldberg has taken aim at Roseanne Barr for trying to shame her on Twitter.

The Ghost actress kicked off her daytime show The View by addressing the controversy after Barr, who is caught up in her own Twitter mess after posting an ill-advised racially insensitive message online, retweeted a shot of Whoopi at January's women's march in New York, wearing an offensive anti-Donald Trump T-shirt.

Goldberg explained the picture had been doctored to make it look like the shirt featured a violent message, and she showed off the same photo, in which she sported a shirt which read: "And you thought I was a nasty woman before? Buckle up buttercup".

Barr retweeted the photoshopped image on Wednesday morning, May 30, as part of a social media rant following the cancellation of her hit sitcom, and Whoopi was not amused.

"So here we go again," the Oscar winner said. "Some bonehead photoshopped a horrific image on the shirt... Even though I don't care for this man (Trump) I would never wear the shirt that's there".

Turning on Barr, she added, "This is what I'm going to say, Roseanne. Just because you were caught with your pants down, don't try to drag other people down with you. Because there are times when you got to suck it up cause you stepped in doo."

"I didn't fake my shirt. Someone else faked my shirt. But that's your tweet, that tweet came from you. You did this to yourself."

Barr's sitcom, which airs on the same network as Whoopi's The View, was cancelled over her tweet comparing former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape.
