The leaked info reveals which villains and new characters who will be introduced in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming 2' as well as where the story will take place.

AceShowbiz - It was recently rumored that Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play villain Mysterio in "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2". New reports have now emerged, revealing more villains and new characters who will be introduced in the sequel.

The alleged leaked details which are posted on Reddit reveal that the upcoming movie may not be set after "Avengers 4" like what Amy Pascal has previously said. Instead, the follow-up to 2017's "Spider-Man: Homecoming" may be set before the events of "Avengers: Infinity War".

Words are, the "Homecoming" sequel [SPOILER ALERT!] will end right before the events in "Infinity War", with the web-slinger heading off on the field trip he ditches to help Iron Man save the world.

There has been report that the plot will take Tom Holland's character to a globetrotting journey in six locations. Those countries reportedly are England, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy.

The main villain, Mysterio, reportedly lives in London and is depicted as a failed magician and actor rather than a stuntman and VFX expert. It is said that his first battle with Spider-Man will take place on London's Westminster Bridge.

While Mysterio will be the main villain, he will reportedly have a powerful ally, and that's Rhino. While Rhino was featured in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", Paul Giamatti's version of the character was such a departure from the comic book version. The "Homecoming 2" version of Rhino is expected to be more accurate with the comic books.

Besides Rhino, the movie is reported to introduce the Sinister Six. It will also lay the groundwork for Doctor Octopus. He allegedly will be shown as a teacher in Peter's school or as a sort of guide at a scientific facility where the kids are touring. Meanwhile, the mid-credits scene will see Mysterio escaping from prison alongside The Vulture and Scorpion.

Another new character to be featured in the film is Jessica Drew, who later becomes Spider-Woman in the comic books. This version, however, will be heavily based on Felicia Hardy who can't appear in the MCU due to her part in "Silver & Black". Jessica Drew will be a love interest to Peter Parker, so she will be a teenager too.

Oscorp and The Daily Bugle will also be mentioned in the movie. Norman Osborn's company will be buying Avengers Tower from Tony Stark and Spider-Man will be shown reading the newspaper with a headline branding him a menace.

Fans can expect some cameo appearances like Iron Man in the first movie. This time, the "Avengers" character who will appear in the Spider-Man movie is reportedly Ant-Man. What's more interesting is that producers reportedly want Daredevil to cameo in the sequel.

As for Gwen Stacy, she reportedly won't be showing up despite previous reports stating otherwise. Her father Captain George Stacy, on the other hand, will be mentioned. Aunt May may have a limited appearance, while Zendaya Coleman's Michelle reportedly may show more similarities to Mary Jane Watson, although the filmmakers have insisted she's not the MJ we've known from the comic books and the previous movies.

Filming for the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel is scheduled to begin in June in Atlanta for a July 5, 2019 release in the United States. Jon Watts will once again serve behind the lens with the script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
